Case Study: Fédération Française des Dys

A ReadSpeaker partner since early 2016, the French federation for dys disorders sees 20 percent of its visitors use the listen button to reach the information on ffdys.com.

This case study looks at the Fédération Française des Dys (opens in a new tab) (FFDYS). A ReadSpeaker partner since early 2016, FFDYS has seen growing awareness of online text to speech among its audiences. Since the listen button went live, 20 percent of visitors use it to reach the information on ffdys.com.

Laetitia Branciard, Multimedia Research Engineer at FFDYS, told us about her experience with ReadSpeaker Enterprise, the web page reading solution.

In conversation with Laetitia Branciard

You started using ReadSpeaker Enterprise to read your website content aloud. What made you do it?

Our audiences live with "dys" disorders: dyslexia, dysorthographia, dysphasia, dyspraxia and others. That is 20 percent of the online population. Reading is often out of reach for them, and we wanted to open up access to our information. We also wanted the text to be accessible to everyone.

Do you find the ReadSpeaker listen button practical for your visitors?

Yes. The icons and the text together make the information readable.

Have your visitors and members given you any feedback on having the site read aloud?

The voice is of very good quality.

Would you recommend ReadSpeaker solutions to other organisations?

I recommend it, because I find it reliable. I have presented it to the participants in my training courses on disability.
